Not to be confused with the little elbow-shaped pasta, Tuscan maccheroni are slightly curved, rigged tubes of pasta. Because of their chunky size and shape they’re perfect for holding the hearty sauces that are so typical of Tuscany.
The Martelli family from the Tuscan town of Lari have been making maccheroni and other types of semolina pasta since 1926. From Martelli's small pasta factory in the heart Lari, they continue to make all of their pastas fully by hand.
